Sunday, October 4th, the sanctuary was filled with beautiful items knitted and crocheted by The Yarners.
These handmade items include prayer shawls, throws, mittens, scarves, hats and dolls that will be distributed to organizations throughout the area, including St. Vincent de Paul, Amazing Grace Food Pantry, Middlesex Hospital Hospice and Cancer Center, the East Hampton Food Bank, Memorial School, Portland Convalescent Home, and Connecticut Children’s Hospital.
Congregants had the opportunity to admire the many beautiful creations and participate in a special blessing of the items before they are delivered.
The Yarners' time, talent, and generosity continue to bring warmth and comfort to people throughout our community. CCEH is proud to host them for their weekly meetings, storage of supplies and any other ways we can support them.
