Our church proudly congratulates Zachary Selger, a member of our congregation, on achieving the rank of Eagle Scout with Troop 57. This distinguished honor represents years of dedication, leadership, and service. Troop 57 has been sponsored by our church since 1968, and Zachary becomes the 31st Scout from the troop to earn the rank of Eagle Scout.

Zachary’s journey toward Eagle Scout began in 2018 and culminated in a meaningful service project that reflects both skill and community spirit. With the guidance and help of his woodworking teacher and mentor, Jerry Gerkey, Zachary designed and built picnic tables for Memorial School. The project demonstrated his commitment to service, planning, and leadership—hallmarks of the Eagle Scout rank. Zachary also expressed heartfelt thanks to his other mentor, Coach Strong, his high school tennis coach, for his encouragement and guidance throughout the years.

In addition to completing his Eagle Scout project, Zachary earned an impressive 23 merit badges—well above the 21 required—and received numerous leadership awards and honors along the way. His achievement is a testament to his perseverance, strong mentorship, and the continued support of Troop 57 and our church community. We congratulate Zachary on this outstanding accomplishment and wish him continued success in all his future endeavors.
